JOÃO BRANCO CHAVES (GENERAL MANAGEMENT INTERN)

(he/him) is a Portuguese theatre manager and producer based in New York City and a MFA candidate in Theatre Management & Producing at Columbia University. He holds a B.A. in Business, Organizations & Management and Theatre Arts from Gettysburg College. João has worked with organizations including The Glimmerglass Festival, Theatre Aspen, and Totem Pole Playhouse, with experience across company management, general management, and operations. With a global perspective shaped by living across multiple countries and three continents, he is passionate about building collaborative environments. João is excited to continue developing his career in general management and producing as a Finance Intern at 321 Theatrical Management.
